We raised concerns about the lack of transparency where a colleague may have gone down with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case, (as sadly we have even had a couple of fatalities within the Service Control family). We were concerned that recent guidance seemed to give more priority to GDPR rather than staff wellbeing, so we requested a fast track cleaning approach to minimise the risk to our members.
As a result, if you now have any concerns or suspicion that you may have been exposed you can ask the SM to request a deep clean job via the DOME or LUCC hotline.
This means things can now be done in a matter of hours rather than have several staff potentially exposed without knowing. In addition, the new Zoonos long life protective spray which is being applied to trains will now be rolled out to all Service Control locations.
