Your National Executive Committee has received reports of morale among Service Controllers at Osborne House being at an all-time low due to management imposing its own working arrangements and practices without agreement and, after consulting your representatives, has declared a dispute and instructed me to commence a ballot for strike action.
The vote back in January was 15/15 all yes to strike.
Since then we have carried out another vote and gained more members!
This vote was 17/18 one vote went AWOL.
BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS - OSBORNE HOUSE
You and your colleagues delivered a magnificent – and unanimous – vote to take strike action and action short of a strike. You have made your views crystal clear to management and for that you and your reps are to be congratulated on achieving another powerful vote in relation to our ongoing dispute.
RMT has done everything possible to negotiate an acceptable way forward with the employer but London Underground has failed to address our members’ concerns.
The union’s National Executive Committee has again considered the matter and believes that industrial action is necessary to force management to resolve these issues urgently.
You are therefore instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:
00.01 hours on Friday 2nd October 2020 and 00.00 hours on Saturday 3rd October 2020
Additionally, members are also instructed to take the following action short of a strike:
From 00.01 hours on Saturday 3rd October 2020 not to work overtime or rest day working until further notice
Your vote shows that you and your colleagues are absolutely determined to seek justice in this dispute and I am sure this will be displayed by your full support for this industrial action.
A message has been sent to management by your vote and now by your actions. It is now time management responded in a meaningful way.
